UT hosts Aerospace Roundtable
The editors-in-chief of both magazines met with industry and defense department business leaders at the James A. Haslam II Business Building on the UT campus. The group discussed key issues associated with performance-based logistics (PBL), a method of supporting weapons systems designed to ensure the U.S. military has the equipment it needs on a timely basis. The editors will use the new knowledge to provide their readers with insight and analysis of PBL in upcoming issues. The event was hosted on the UT campus as a result of the College of Business Administration’s close ties to the U.S. aerospace and defense community. The college’s Center for Executive Education has been a leading provider of executive education and training programs for the aerospace and defense industries. “UT is a partner with us in supporting the education and advancement of aerospace and defense industry leaders,” said Tony Velocci, editor in chief of Aviation Week and Space Technology. “They are a critical source of expertise on the communities within the broader aerospace and defense industries we serve, and their reputation and value in the field of executive education are unmatched. It just made sense to meet here.” The University of Tennessee Center for Executive Education offers an entire portfolio of degree, non-degree, and certificate executive education programs for the aerospace and defense industry.
