Data Mining for Improved Business Results

Who Should Attend?

This course targets managers, engineers, area managers, and project leaders involved in using proactively acquired data to improve process performance. The course is specifically designed to create organizational leaders who can sustain improvement initiatives within the organization. Hence, individuals who will be successful using the skills taught in this course are informal leaders who are respected by their colleagues for their experience, expertise and process/product knowledge

Key Benefits

Data Mining for Improved Business Results is a course designed to improve business performance in an environment where data are already collected, warehoused and available for use. This data may not be currently utilized for improving business performance due to a lack of tools, methodology or insight. Participants will learn to utilize statistical techniques for improving business intelligence and performance. Each student will capture appropriate data prior to class with the intent of using this data to generate a quick return on your educational investment with us.

The course is arranged around a Data Mining process that enables repeatable
methods that can be implemented in your company. We will step through each part of the process with short lectures, business examples and case studies. The techniques covered in the class will be those that add the most value and that are not easily obtained outside an interactive learning environment. The subset of specific statistical tools represents the Pareto principle, the small set of tools that account for a largest portion of business requirements, applications and results. Time will be available to discuss the unique needs of each participant and their company’s data process and business requirements.
